Minneapolis Ski Club Winter Programs Youth
This program is for younger skiers age 8-13 who are interested in learning to ski or just get better technique. Sessions will be held at Hyland Visitor Center beginning at 6PM on Monday December 4th. Instruction on all techniques will be given and everyone will learn better technique and have lots of fun. This program will be a great way to get the best instruction from one of the best coaches in the country. Olympic Coach Kevin Brochman will be leading this program. Kevin has helped skiers from beginner to World Championships medalist. He coaches at all levels and can help people learn the hows and whys of Nordic skiing.
The program would begin Monday Evenings in December 12/4, 11, 18th, then Holiday break for two weeks and then in January 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. February 5th and make up day on the 12th if there are cancellations. There will be 8 sessions, if snow comes late the first session will be dryland. Equipment needed, skis, boots, poles. Class size is limited to 20, each session will begin at 6PM and end at 7:30. Cost is $150 for the 8 sessions. Class will be lead by Olympic coach and skier, Kevin Brochman. Winter On-snow ski clinic
Where: Elm Creek
When: December 26th, 9:00-10:45am & 11:15am-1:15pm
Description: There will be two options (registration covers classic, skate or both). The early option will be classic from 9-10:45am. The later option will be skate from 11:15am to 1:15pm. For each clinic, there will 30 minutes of instruction, 30-45 minutes of skiing, and 30 minutes of review. This clinic is especially good for youth and adults. A daily or seasonal 3 Rivers Park pass will be required. Limited to first 15 participants to register.
